Shelapani is a hidden, untouched and unspoilt little hamlet located in the Shimla district but far far away from the maddening crowd of the main town and this four bedroom villa blends in perfectly with its surroundings. A truly offbeat experience for the peace-seeker in you.
You step into a large hall, with a high ceiling and large windows to allow just the right amount of sunlight you would need on a cold winter morning. The hall is made up of cozy interiors, a small fireplace and is attached to a full fledged kitchen and two bedrooms. A wooden staircase takes you to the upper floor which consists of two more bedrooms. All rooms are fitted with all the modern amenities, have ensuite bathrooms and amazing views of the himalayas. For the reader in you there is a quaint little library overlooking the garden with books on philosophy and travel.
The living area along with an attached kitchenette, mini library, garden and swimming pool area is common for all. Sit, relax, cook, swim and rejuvenate yourself.
Interaction with Guests
The host doesn’t reside here but they keep on visiting here on & off to make sure everything is going good. There is a small team who manages the property, interacts will their guests and assist them with anything they may need.
You can pack a little picnic basket and drive down to the nearby Hatkoti temple along the river Giri and come back by the evening.
By road, Shelapani is situated a distance of 85 km from Shimla. One crosses through Theog, Kotkhai and Kharapathar. At Kharapathar, leave the main road and take a left turn towards Mandhol village (12 km). Further 1.5 km of Mandhol through a jungle road lies Shelapani. Shimla to Shelapani is a three hour drive. This place can be reached from Delhi straight in 11 hours.
Other Things to Note
The villa is located about 100 kms further from Shimla away from the hustle bustle of the city in the Mudhol district of Himachal Pradesh. Only bring your own car if you are used to driving in the hills make sure you arrive there before sunset since the last few kilometres are a bit tricky.
