The Secret Wooden Cottage is located in a small village called Tandi near Jibhi. The cottage has a balcony, an alfresco patio table, and a spacious upper floor. Next to the cottage lies the forest and apple, peach and pear orchards surround the cottage. At night, flying squirrels emerge. The waterfall originates here. You can visually examine sunrise and sunset from the patio. It's a quite, comfortable place to repose or even relax next to a bonfire after a whole day of trekking.

The Secret Wooden Cottage at Tandi has 2 bedrooms, a balcony and a patio with amazing views of the himalayas. The rooms have comfortable beddings and are connected via a staircase that runs inside the cottage. There is also a kitchen with all basic amenities. The washroom is attached with the room on the lower level.
Guests can access all areas of the cottage and the orchards.
Interaction with Guests
The owner is a local from a near by village. He is a great host and is always available for a talk and some stories. The cook is available if you need to get lunch/ dinner/ or snacks made. Otherwise, the cottage is more of a place for seclusion and peace of mind. You will get whatever you need from the market at your doorstep. You will also get your clothes washed, dried and ironed. We also offer free local cuisine classes. We'll make bonfire at request.
The cottage is located in a small village called tandi, about 9 kms ahead of the Jibhi town. Tandi has very little population but the locals are very nice and helpful. The cottage itself is surrounded by lush greenery, orchards and forests on one side and the himalayas on the other.
Tandi is in Jibhi, Kullu. If you are coming from Delhi, for example, take a bus to Kullu or Manali. Get down at AUT, and take the road to Banjar, and then to Jibhi. Tandi is above Jibhi. We'll arrange a taxi from Jibhi or AUT if needed. If you are coming by car, before the AUT tunnel, take the road to Banjar. There is no need to enter the tunnel.
Other Things to Note
- Food can be prepared if the cook owner is informed well in advance
- The cottage is located about 9 kms ahead of the Jibhi town where the road ends.
- There are no shops / restaurants or eating outlets nearby.
- The cottage is close to the village where the owner lives. He will be there if you need help with any thing.
- Loud noise and music is a no no!
- Make sure you respect the locals and their culture. Please be vary of what you wear.
- No smoking inside the cottage.
